The g-PBL program, held from February 9-15, 2023, was a successful collaboration between the Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) and Osmania University (OU). The program aimed to provide students with international exposure and a platform to showcase their cultures. Students and faculty members from various departments at the bachelor’s and master’s levels participated in the program. As a result of the program’s success, Osmania University in Telangana, and Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) in Japan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on international programs aimed at developing a global perspective among students. Vice-Chancellor Prof. D. Ravinder of Osmania University and university president Jun Yamada of SIT signed the MoU at the ceremony on Friday at SIT. The agreement encourages faculty partnerships, student exchanges, and research collaborations between the two institutions. Furthermore, the OU delegation will have the opportunity to learn about the Japanese school system, way of life, cultural foundation, and technological advancements during their visit to Japan. This collaboration between SIT and OU will not only benefit the participating students and faculty members but also improve Shibaura Institute of Technology’s branding and global ranking. By partnering with other reputable universities around the world, SIT can establish itself as a leading institution in the global education arena. Additionally, international collaborations can lead to new research opportunities and collaborations, further improving the university’s reputation and standing.
