Prof. Dr Muralidhar Miryala, Board of Councilor, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), Japan visited Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on 13th March 2023. He was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), UPM.
The two parties engaged in a discussion aimed at strengthening the collaborative efforts between SIT and UPM, with a particular focus on the field of science. The topics discussed included proposals for student and staff exchange programs at both institutions, as well as opportunities for SIT students to pursue a second diploma at UPM.
During the visit Prof. Muralidhar Miryala presented a seminar on ” Development of Low Cost and High-Performance Compact Bulk Mgb2 Magnets”. He addressed the issue of low cost production of briefed about the novel technique of ultrasonication to refine cheap rough boron precursor. Professor focused on the application of bulk MgB2 in several medical applications like NMR, MRI etc. based on the results and observations obtained from the study.
